So I think Sunday is the perfect day to get real…

“So we’re gonna get real here at Red Rocks real quick, because if you’ve been following me for any amount of time you know that I love metaphor and I love alliteration.
But in all seriousness, I wanna do a little pulse check here and get real with you guys.
I know a lot of what I write about is about positivity and just rolling with it, going with the flow, letting go and letting God. But the thing is, I still have my bad days, and I don’t ever want to give the impression that it’s all sunshine and butterflies with me all the time.
Even when I am feeling crappy, I tend to be sarcastic and make jokes. And as we all know, that’s just one form of a coping mechanism, and sometimes that’s a good thing, and sometimes it’s just a mask for what’s really going on.
And just wanna let you guys know that I had a really hard time this week…there’s a lot of change in the air, a lot going on, a lot I’m preparing for, a lot that I want to share with you guys and I want to make it perfect. And I have to accept that it’s not going to be perfect. I’m going to strive for excellence, but my message doesn’t have to be perfect to help you, inspire you, equip you with one toolset, even if it’s just one thing that helps you, but I want to be honest about my Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that I’ve struggled with off and on over the years. And although I’ve found a healthy place that I can maintain most days, I still have my days that…
I don’t understand why BUT I DON’T WANT TO BE HERE.
That’s really REALLY hard for me to say. But I just wanna keep it real. And I don’t want you guys to ever feel like if you’re having one of those days, one of those weeks, or one of those months that there’s something wrong with you, because there isn’t.
So that’s it for today.
